I'm Thankful!

I'm so thankful for the people in my life and a great family. I love my job and my boss and coworkers are great too. Here is a pic of a turkey for you to enjoy.

Also, way cool, is this article in NY Times about Project FeederWatch, which I'm in.

Have a Blessed and Happy Thankgsgiving!

Venturing From The Yard..

Over the last week or so I've been out and about. We've had some nice birds visiting Colorado and I was able to see them. The first are two Snow Buntings found at Antero Reservoir in Park County. These birds were a first - life bird for me. Here are a couple of pictures.

This Anna's Hummingbird was seen at a feeder this month near Horsetooth Reservoir, west of Fort Collins.

A lovely Downy Woodpecker at the same yard.

Project FeederWatch

It's that time of the year again. Project FeederWatch season started November 8th. Wednesday is my first count day of the season, I can hardly wait! There is still plenty of time to sign up and it is a great way to contribute to Citizen Science.

Well I've mowed most of the leaves that have fallen from the trees in my yard, but I always like to leave the edges messy for the birds. Here are a few pictures of what my yard looks like in November:
