What a day we had today! It was a special trip in the monthly bird walk series I've been leading: Birding The Big Thompson.

We were delighted with a great flock of Western Bluebirds and this one lone, Mountain Bluebird jewel.

Dipper's weren't disappointing.
In fact the male entertained us with his song. So amazing.

Here was one of them, a Broad-winged Hawk. Of course I misidentified it until I saw this photo.
