First, you find a tree full of chokecherries.
Then you have your helper make sure they are ripe.
Then you pick and pick and pick chokecherries,
Until your bucket is full.
Then you add water and boil them.
After straining the skins and seeds out, you add a bunch of sugar and cook the heck out of it.
You try to not make a mess like this.
You boil the jam in jars for awhile.
Then you let the jars cool.
Then you take a nap.
